The Temperance Card in Tarot

The Angel in the Temperance card shows us that we have to be there for each other. We are all connected energetically. It reminds us to remove ourselves from our egos and not look for material things to gratify ourselves. On the human aspect of the card, it reminds us of our constant battle over seeking the right balance. Temperance also signifies the bonds we make and attachments we have with possessions. Another way of interpreting temperance is the action of someone who may respond to being alright when something actually is pre-occupying their thoughts. It’s the act of setting aside our emotions so that we may continue with our tasks in "life".

Some people may identify with the Temperance card because they go through their lives trying to appease others and avoid conflict. So they go about their everyday lives saying they are fine, when in fact they really aren't. To some, the Temperance card could also mean a temporary state of mind in coping with emotions at that time. Once the obstacle is overcome they resume to their normal behavior and perhaps are more expressive with their emotions.

The Lovers Card?

When this card appears it can mean several things. One interpretation is that something big is about to happen that will result in the feeling of completeness. The card is telling you to follow your instincts and trust in your intuition.

Another interpretation is if you are unattached it’s telling you to hang on to your seat because you are going to embark on a journey that will take you by storm. The Lovers Card is expressing a love relationship that is a perfect union. It may be a soulmate, your one true love or even your twin flame. However, if you are currently involved in a relationship this card is telling you that you may become distracted by someone else and/or it may lead to an affair or secret liaison.

The Lovers Card could also be interpreted as your creativity is developing and you should channel that energy into something artistic or that you should create something.

Twin Flame or Soul Mate?

So if soul mates are our spiritual family, what are twin flames? Twin flames are ourselves in another body. When Souls chose to enter into physicality, they were split into masculine and feminine aspects. I did not say male and female, because throughout our incarnations, we will be in both genders of bodies. When we first leave the "Light" to enter into physicality, we will connect with our twin flame. This is done so we will not feel so totally alone in the human experience. After this we go our separate ways and grow lifetime after lifetime in experience and wisdom until we are ready to break free of the bonds of physicality and mortality. When we have reached this stage in the ascension process; we have the opportunity to reconnect with our "other half" or twin flame.

Chances are we will meet our twin flame briefly in many lifetimes, but one or both of us are not ready for the intensity of this connection. When both halves of the whole are ready to come back together and meet they will discover in that lifetime that they have lead almost parallel lives. The events of their lives will mirror each other almost exactly. They may have come from very similar families and family dynamics. They may have had similar schooling or lack thereof. They may have almost identical careers. They may even have had previous marriages and divorces within weeks of each other. When twin flames get to know each other, they will feel as if the other is reading their life script.

Once in a relationship, the bond between twin flames can only be compared to the bond between identical twins. They are aware of each others thoughts, feelings, desires and needs at a level that is hard to imagine. The depth of love is such that to be apart even for a day is a hardship. What is meant by that is that their hearts literally hurt when they are separated from each other, even if only for the work day. It is this depth of love that reminds them of the Oneness of Light to which they are returning. By anchoring this love in the physical, not only are they preparing for their own ascension, but they are also leaving an imprint for others to follow in time for their own.

The love relationship with a twin flame is the most powerful and remarkable relationship known to man, and Spirit. It is the true feeling of completeness. However, sometimes our twin flames are not incarnated and are in fact on the other side serving as our guides. It doesn’t matter if your twin flame is incarnated or not, you still can make that connection with them through meditation and asking your higher self and I AM presence to bring that energy to you. That connection you make will magnify your energy and serve as a beacon to your twin flame.

Creating Gratitude in your Life.

Like anything else, gratitude requires practice and discipline. There are many ways you can incorporate the practice of gratitude into your life. You can begin with these simple practices that I use to develop my own sense of gratitude.

Open your Heart

Gratitude requires that you open your heart. Try this exercise: Close your eyes and gently bring your attention to the center of your chest - your heart center or heart chakra. Focus on the rising and falling of your chest as you breathe in and out. Think about the things in your life that bring you happiness and joy such as special people, your home, your garden, the birdsong, whatever it is that warms your heart. If you cannot think of anything specific then visualize a beautiful field of flowers or a smiling child. As you focus on these things, you may begin to feel warm and calm. You are now in a state of gratitude.

In learning the practice of gratitude, you do not need something to be grateful for, only the desire to feel grateful. You can learn gratitude by thinking of things for which you are thankful for, and eventually move into the awareness that just being and experiencing life is enough. Then you are projecting gratitude and love from an open heart each moment.

Centering in Gratitude

Begin by setting aside quiet moments of reflection. This is a time to quiet the mind of all its’ “to do” lists and endless chatter. View it as a search mission. Examine your day and seek out all the things for which you are grateful. Move beyond the material blessings and look at your relationships, the splendor in nature, the way in which music moves your soul. Move even deeper and you will find that even your challenges have made you stronger.

Keep a Journal

Use a journal to express your deepest thoughts and moments of gratitude. Writing truly brings things to the surface and allows you the privacy and intimacy of a quiet, non-judgmental listener. This will be a place you can turn to when you feel troubled or agitated. By reading the words you have written, you will be able to re-open your heart.

Use Positive Affirmations

Create affirmations that will help remind you to focus on gratitude. For example:

  1. I turn my thoughts to all the gifts my life brings me.

  2. I appreciate and am grateful for my health, my family, and my friends, the earth and its creatures, and the beauty in each day.

  3. My life is filled with abundance and I am blessed.

Another way to express gratitude to yourself and to others might be to write a thank you note to someone for sharing in your life. Appreciating other people brings you and those around you joy.

Nurturing the Right Mind Set

Spend some time focusing on your attitude. Observe your feelings as they make themselves known to you. Are you feeling drained, irritable, or just plain frustrated? Imagine how you might be able to change the moment by using an attitude of patience and open heartedness toward yourself and others. Then try gratitude.

Focus on Gratitude

The quality of your life is a result of what you focus on. The practice of focusing on all that you “have” amplifies and enriches the experience of everyday living. Focusing acts like a magnet; you attract those things on which you place your focus on. By focusing on things that you are grateful for, you give those aspects of your life more power.

May your world begin to feel more full and alive with gratitude.

Manifestation and Abundance

A lot of people often ask me what can be done in order to improve manifestation and/or abundance. The key to manifesting is to avoid going into the state of "wanting" and "needing" and recognize that your higher self has already manifested everything you could ever want and need before coming into the physical realm.

The best way to visualize is to imagine whatever it is you are trying to manifest as being suspended just above your head and attaching an anchor to the bottom of it so that it can be lowered into the physical realm. For example, if you were in a financial pinch and you were needing to manifest more money- a good exercise would be to visualize a sack of money suspended just above your head. You would then visualize attaching a huge anchor to the bottom of the sack allowing it to be lowered into the physical realm. Now imagine that sack lowering itself right in front of you and refrain from going into the desperation state of mind. Allowing yourself to feel desperate will create a blockage so no matter what try to remain as positive as possible and surround that manifestation exercise with as much love and light as possible. Repeat the visualization as much as possible and combine it with some sort of meditation or ritual on the new moon to strengthen the manifestation.

This month, the New Moon will occur on August 23rd. That is a good time to prepare yourself for a manifestation ritual. An example of a ritual for manifestation and abundance would be to create a little "sacred space" or altar with a couple of green candles (used for abundance and health) and to place a picture of what you would like to manifest (car, house, etc.) near your candles. Be sure to be safe with your candles!

On my altar is a picture of Jesus, as he is one of my main Ascended Masters that I work with, a statue of Quan Yen- who is also another Ascended Master, some spare change, a couple of assorted dollar bills, some Nag Champa incense, a couple of crystals, candles, and a small mirror. I also make sure that no one touches the items that I have in my "sacred space" and I do my meditations and prayers there daily.

Another important tidbit of information regarding manifestation is to be as descriptive and detailed as possible. If you want to manifest love, make sure you are as specific as possible so that you can draw that energy to you. Make a list of qualities, characteristics, temperament, features for your ideal mate. The same thing goes for manifesting material items. If you have a picture of what it is that you want to manifest- that makes it all the better. I once manifested a brand new car by actually going to the dealership and taking one of their brochures and tearing out the picture of the exact car and model I wanted- color and everything and placed that on my altar. Every night I visualized an anchor tied to the bottom of the car and 3 months later, I purchased it. I’ve been doing this exercise and I know that it works. I may not have all the wealth and fortune in the world, but I have been able to manifest most things that I have including the love of my life.

Timeless Rivers & Shattered Mirrors - The Power within You.

Time is the river of continuum. The past, present, and future all crystallize in the Jewel of Now. They exist in harmony - the Jewel of Now pulling in memories, wisdom, and knowledge from the caverns of the past while extending tentacles into the far flung future of endless possibilities. The Jewel of Now blossoms and grows with each captured experience. Using past life information to mature and improve; fine tuning skills and blessing the memories. Then as the Jewel of Now hungers for experience, it shatters the obsidian mirror into a myriad of chards, with a power so vast and universally strong that it astonishes in wonderment the soul within the jewel. These chards represent endless possibilities - each one holding a secret which only the key of your freewill can unlock. Thus, through symbolism, visions, metaphors and dreams, I as a clairvoyant reader work hand-in-hand with spirit to meld the gold of universal information and knowledge into the brilliant jewel which crystallizes with breathtaking power as your personal reading.

I give you this jewel with honor and humility. As you gaze upon it, the myriad reflections of light turning this way and that way never cease to present you the endless possibilities I have pulled from the universe. It is up to you to choose from these possibilities – you must choose the one or the many that resonate within your soul, mind, and heart at that moment.

I thank you.
Paula

Finding Time to Listen to your Heart.

We have been asked the following question by one of our Customers. Please see what some of our Psychics have to say.

Hello,

I'm having a hard time finding quietness to listen to my heart (my spirit voice, or whatever you may call it). I know I would benefit from meditating longer than the 20 minutes I sometimes do. But, as I said, without having the quietness - since I have a young child around - I do not seem to be able to tune in more and better.

Would there be any other way to get more into listening to myself?

Sincerely,

Hermina
A brand-new client

Tara Writes:

My specialty is to offer remedial suggestions in the form of spiritual practices, lifestyle modifications, and herbs, flower remedies, and gem elixirs tailored to each individual through the reading of the astrological birth chart. When someone has difficulty finding quiet within, there is often a Moon and/or Mercury affliction along with a specific transit or planetary cycle that is activating the natal afflictions involved. These matters can only be discerned through a careful reading of the natal horoscope, which is erected specifically for the date, *time* and place of the individual's birth.

Generally, without examining the horoscope, there are a few things I would recommend for this.

Flower remedies which you can buy online at FES: Click Here

  1. Rescue Remedy, also called Five Flower Remedy: A blend of five essences to restore emotional balance.
  2. White chestnut to calm and clear the mind, to stop incessant mental chatter and worry, and to bring inner quiet.
  3. Star Tulip, to help us connect with the Inner Presence and attune to quiet inner states of awareness.
  4. Larch or Sunflower to improve confidence in this specific case, as I feel this is in need of strengthening.

The other thing that is very helpful is an herb you can buy in any health food store called Gotu Kola, which is a brain food that calms the mind and aids inner attunement. Gotu Kola, also called "Brahmi" in India, is a common plant that is good for all constitutional types. Interestingly, the leaves of this plant look exactly like the two hemispheres of the brain, which reveals that it was put on this planet by God for the purpose of deeply nourishing the brain and nervous system. Gotu Kola is also good for the adrenal glands, liver and skin. I usually recommend 2-4 capsules in the morning and/or early afternoon with food. Possible but rare side effects could be a mild headache or itching of the skin, in which case you should just take 1-2 capsules in the morning. Many people prefer to take it in tea or in a liquid elixir.

She may also need to accept and acknowledge that her spiritual path at this time is first and foremost to be a mother. This is the greatest spiritual path anyone can ever have, and she may not know how blessed she is by it. She may need to stay more fully focused and present with her child! They need to spend time outside in nature. Just walking in the woods together will clear their energy systems and calm the mother's "monkey mind." Be together in water as much as possible, through swimming or baths. Daily bathing in a combination of sea or Epsom salt and baking soda, a handful of each, with several drops of lavender essential oil, will help to clear the aura, ground the energies and calm the mind. This will help her stay calm. The best way to stay grounded and peaceful is to stay focused in the Miraculous Now. For more on this topic, read The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle.

The best time to meditate is in the early morning before the Sun comes up. This is when the spiritual forces are most sublime and when you can connect more deeply with spiritual power. Walking beside the seashore, and particularly at low tide, is another time when you will be more able to attune within. If your child is up early, put him or her on your lap and meditate with the child as best you can. I am also a mother and know that sometimes, this is more challenging than others, especially when you are exhausted by your 24/7 job of mothering and when your child has so much energy to go-go-go!

I really feel you will benefit when you surrender to your mothering role and realize how important your child is. The Goddess will reward you a thousand-fold when you love and care for your child and when you make sacrifices for the child. This is how you can best tune into the Divine Presence, through worshiping your own beloved child. If you cannot have a full sitting meditation practice now, so be it. Worship instead on the altar of your child's heart.

Love and light,
Tara

Julie Writes:

In response to the woman who has a hard time finding a sense of inner quiet, I have a suggestion. When you get to sit down to close your eyes, there is a good chance that you find your attention put on things outside of yourself and feel the constant need to RESPOND. This makes any retreat from the outer world all the more difficult. So, here is a way to call your attention back to yourself. Close your eyes and allow yourself to imagine some sort of connection that connects your body to the center of the planet. I like to visualize this as seeing my seat connected to a waterfall that connects to the center of earth... though you can create any image you want and change it, just as you change every day. Allow this grounding to act as a way to let go of that which you are ready to release. Could be pain, worry, tension, etc.... Then notice where your attention is... on your child, a conversation, at work, handling some kind of problem. Just as easily as you have found where you are, you can call YOUR energy back. Sometimes I like to imagine that I am a magnet for my own energy and just let the magnet turn on. Allow your body to be refueled with your essence. You might then find that you can more easily find your sense of inner calm, and thereby heal and replenish your body.

We all do this - lavish our energy on many things and issues outside of our personal universe. And we all contribute to the epidemic of stress in our lives by being spread so thin. It is as if we have been taught that we must operate outside of ourselves in order to be effective in life. But spiritual practice always incorporates this concept of home, of an inner life and developing an ongoing meditation space is vital for creating a personal space.

Just of few thoughts!
Julie

Walter Writes:

Questions about meditation. If you're having difficulty setting aside big blocks of quiet time, go for shorter meditations. A five minute meditation can yield amazing results. Rather than one session of meditation, go for two or three spread out during the day. Even a one minute meditation can be effective. Another very effective way to listen to your soul is through writing. Keep a journal and write down what comes through in the mornings after sleep or any time during the day.
